Kootenai Clinic
recently celebrated the grand opening of a new location at 1919
Lincoln Way in Coeur d’Alene. The new facility is home to four physician practices, a
lab, imaging center and even a coffee shop. It is also right next door to the Interlake
Building at 700 Ironwood Drive, home to six more practices, including cardiology
and oncology.
Kootenai Clinic started as Kootenai Physician Clinics in 2006. Since then, the
clinic has grown each year and added specialties ranging from family medicine to
cardiac care and oncology. Kootenai Clinic offers a multidisciplinary approach to
patient care. This model creates a framework that makes it easy for physicians to
work together.
“It’s like a football team,” explained Kootenai Clinic otolaryngologist (ear, nose and
throat doctor) Chad McCormick, M.D. “The patient’s family doctor is like the quar-
terback who sees everything happening on the field. Specialists like me are called in
when we are needed, and we all work together as a team. The patient has the whole
team working together for him, so he’s not left to try to figure things out on his own.”
This Kootenai Clinic
location will serve ap-
proximately 300 patients
a day.
Each suite has state-
of-the art exam tables
that can be lowered and
raised so exams are safer
and more comfortable
for patients.
The Diabetes and Endo-
crinology practice has
its own demonstration
kitchen where patients
can learn to prepare
diabetic-friendly meals.
