Cardiac events are often prevent-

able. Follow these tips to reduce

your risk of heart attack:

Quit smoking

Stay within a healthy weight

range

Manage your blood pressure

and cholesterol

Know your family history

Prevent or carefully manage

diabetes

Eat a healthy diet

Exercise daily

Detection

Sometimes it can be hard to

detect a heart attack. If you expe-

rience some of these symptoms,

call 911.
