My dad often took the family water skiing and snow skiing. We had a ski boat and water-skied in the Sacramento River and Folsom Lake. We snow-skied around Lake Tahoe. My husband is a retired U.S. Air Force veteran, and our 20-year-old daughter is studying clinical psychology at Brigham Young University. I have been working at Kootenai Health for almost three years. What are someofyour hobbies? Jogging, swimming, playing classical guitar, listening to classical music, traveling, alpine and cross-country skiing, and water skiing when I can. What drewyou toKootenai Health? The beauty of the area, the full spectrum of medical care provided by Kootenai Health and the Epic medical record system, which I have used for the past 20 years. What isyour favoritehealthy tip? Sleep eight hours a day; exercise three to five days a week; and eat healthy, unprocessed foods. Wheredidyou receiveyourmedical degree? I graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, as an undergraduate and went to UC San Francisco Medical School. Whydidyoupickyour specialty? I worked in nephrology/dialysis as a patient care technician for almost four years and then as a dialysis nurse for over 20 years. My patients can benefit from my experience in serving them as a nurse practitioner (NP). Nephrology/dialysis patients are a special group of patients who are dear to my heart.
