I graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, as an undergraduate and went to UC San Francisco Medical School. Whydidyoupickyour specialty? I worked in nephrology/dialysis as a patient care technician for almost four years and then as a dialysis nurse for over 20 years. My patients can benefit from my experience in serving them as a nurse practitioner (NP). Nephrology/dialysis patients are a special group of patients who are dear to my heart.
