Saving Lives With Quick Care By Tyler Wilson Treating trauma involves a wide variety of medical conditions. Falls, car accidents and injuries sustained around the home are just a few examples, and patients often require complex orthopedic interventions. A traumatologist specializes in those complexities. Last August, Kootenai Health hired orthopedic surgeon Greg Staeheli, M.D., to help expand the quality and diversity of trauma care for northern Idaho. Dr. Staeheli spent part of his childhood in the Spokane area, which factored into him and his family planning a return to the Inland Northwest.
