Interlake Pharmacy, a long-standing, locally owned business, recently joined Kootenai Health as Kootenai’s first outpatient pharmacy. Tim and Kris Brown, who owned the pharmacy for more than 33 years, are continuing to staff the pharmacy, along with all their employees. They have been joined by Barbara Conti, director of ambulatory pharmacy services at Kootenai Health. “We have talked about adding an outpatient pharmacy for some time,” said Kelley Griffith, executive director of pharmacy services at Kootenai Health. “We have a lot of ideas for how we can make the process of getting prescription medications even more convenient for our patients. Now with Tim and Kris working with us, we are excited to see what we can do.” Asmooth transition Pharmacy operations will remain largely the same for the first year. Current Interlake Pharmacy patients’ prescription information will continue to be available through Kootenai Health Pharmacy. The pharmacy’s hours of operation will also remain the same for the time being, but they will likely be expanded in the future. Tim and Kris opened Interlake Interlake Pharmacy Joins Kootenai Health Pharmacy in 1987. Both are graduates of Washington State University’s College of Pharmacy and are registered pharmacists in both Idaho and Washington. “We have enjoyed the honor and privilege of owning and coming to work at Interlake Pharmacy for 33 years,” said Tim. “We are so thankful for the many patients and wonderful staff members we have worked with through the years. Now we are excited about these next steps and seeing the evolution of pharmacy services at Kootenai Health Pharmacy.” New name, same great service Kootenai Health Pharmacy is located at 700 Ironwood Drive in Coeur d’Alene.
