CONFIDENCE is run by three certified simulation educators, who are specially trained to oversee operations. In addition to these educators, there are several clinical educators who provide hands- on training and certification courses for staff members. These educators include nine clinical nurse experts, one perioperative nurse educator and three professional development specialists. Good for the community “We knew the center would be highly used by our clinical staff, but we’ve been surprised at how many other departments see opportunity in working with us,” Kelly said. “Housekeeping, security and radiology have all expressed interest in using the facility.” Having an on-site training facility provides more opportunity for clinical staff to develop new skills in a low- risk environment.
