I am a board- certified pediatrician and neonatologist. I completed medical training in pediatrics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. Subsequently, I completed my subspecialty training in neonatal-perinatal medicine at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. My life has been focused on medicine. I grew up in the medical world. My goal is to provide families with an understanding of their infants’ illnesses with genuine compassion. I strive to provide unlimited emotional support, empathy and state-of-the- art medical treatment. Why did you pick your specialty? I chose neonatology because I felt I would make a difference in the lives of others. The first day of life is the most important day of life. In rare situations of acute emergency, when you have me providing care to your child, you will know that your child will receive only the best medical care. What can patients expect when they first meet with you? I have very high expectations of myself. I commit myself entirely, with all my skills and abilities, to make sure your infant will be provided optimal medical care. What are some of your hobbies? On a very personal level, I strongly believe in a healthy lifestyle. I believe in frequent physical exercise, which provides physical and emotional strength. I exercise every day, no matter where I am or what I am doing. What drew you to Kootenai Health? I came to Kootenai Health because of the values of the institution, the dignity given to patients and the commitment to provide the best care. I also think my own personal beliefs are closely aligned with the beliefs of the community. I believe we all have been created equal, and we all have been endowed with inalienable rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. What is your favorite healthy tip? Be happy!
