Richard A. Jensen Jr., M.D. Jeremy R. Nicolarsen, M.D. Jennifer Plymale, M.D. Sarah Stack, M.D. Idaho had to travel to Spokane to see the specialists. “Families who are dealing with a child’s chronic heart illness face many ongoing expenses, including travel expenses,” Dr. Burg said. “By seeing our northern Idaho patients at Kootenai Health’s Post Falls facility—which is very accessible and has great parking—we hope to lessen the burden and expense of having to travel to Spokane for care.” The new service location stems from a long-standing partnership between Kootenai and Providence Center for Congenital Heart Disease. “We have worked with Kootenai Health for decades reading pediatric echocardiograms, and we have a great ongoing relationship with pediatricians and family doctors in the Coeur d’Alene area,” Dr. Burg said. “We are happy to continue that relationship. Working with Kootenai Health staff has always been a pleasure.” KH . ORG 19
