The holidays are upon us! That means the Kootenai Health Foundation’s 33 rd annual Festival of Trees is just around the corner. Because of another uncertain year peppered by COVID-19, the Festival will once again be held in a virtual format. But don’t worry, holiday revelers— we’ll still be together in spirit. “We know what a wonderful tradition this event has been for our community over the past many years,” Foundation President Julie Holt said. “It was a difficult decision, but given the COVID surges Kootenai Health experienced this year, we believe it would be unsafe to hold an indoor event with hundreds of people.” Like the 2020 Festival, Foundation supporters will still have several ways to show their support for their local hospital by way of livestreamed tree raffles, a texting campaign of giving and online auctions. Love to attend the Festival of Trees Gala? Friends of the Festival who buy tickets to the event will receive a night’s stay at The Coeur d’Alene Resort, along with a delicious three-course meal delivered right to their hotel room door. This year’s presenting sponsors are United Heritage Insurance, represented by Senior Vice President Shane Nelson, and The Murray Group, represented by President Chad Murray. Shane said when it comes to the health of our community, “Kootenai Health is the cornerstone.” “The past 20 months have been challenging for us all, yet we have learned we are resilient and can adapt to our changing Together in Spirit 33 rd annual Festival of Trees will be a virtual celebration By Devin Weeks Make a gift for community health Visit KH.org/foundation or call (208) 625-4438 to share your support and to learn more about the neurosurgery campaign’s lifesaving efforts and the Festival of Trees.
