Michael and Rachel, our 19-year-old twins, are in college. Geoff, Stormy’s older son, lives in town working in the insurance business. Whydidyoupick your specialty? I wanted to be a family doctor, caring for a wide variety of illnesses and guiding patients to live a healthy lifestyle. What canpatients expect when theyfirstmeetwith you? I want to get to know them a bit as a person, get a summary of their medical conditions and update any health maintenance issues with joint decision making. What are someof your hobbies? I enjoy fly fishing and fly-rod building, hunting, and exercise. What drewyou to Kootenai Health? I worked at Kootenai caring for my patients up until Group Health closed our Coeur d’Alene clinic in 2011, and I enjoyed working at the hospital. My practice moved to Spokane, but I have continued to live in Hayden. I have continued to see Kootenai Health grow and am impressed with the entire organization, so I decided to come back into the community to practice. What isyour favoritehealthy tip?
