By Stacie Jones The Coeur d’Alene community showcased its extraordinary generosity once again at the Kootenai Health Foundation’s Festival of Trees, held November 24 through 27. The popular holiday tradition raised more than $440,000 to benefit the expansion and remodel of the Kootenai Health emergency department and operating rooms, wrapping up this summer. The 29th annual event at The Coeur d’Alene Resort kicked off with Friday d’Lights, where the public viewed a display of 29 uniquely decorated trees. The festivities continued through the weekend with a Saturday morning brunch; evening black-tie gala; and Sunday family day of holiday crafts, youth choirs and a Santa visit. The event wrapped on Monday with luncheon and dinner fashion shows. The Festival Gala was a highlight of the weekend.
