16 By Devin Weeks Miracles happen where lives join the world in the Kootenai Health Family Birth Center. For the Dorosh sisters, their little miracles made grand entrances a little more than 24 hours apart. Tara and Kendra Dorosh, who married brothers Gabriel and Michael, respectively, gave birth to double cousins in September. Kendra and Michael welcomed their second child, Blake, at 1:07 p.m. Sept. 23. Tara and Gabriel welcomed their first baby, Everly, 24 hours and 41 minutes later. “It was absolutely amazing,” Kendra told the Coeur d’Alene Press , which shared their heartwarming story when the babies were born. “I had Blake right as Tara was coming into the hospital to get induced,” Kendra said. “So he had literally just popped out five minutes before she got there, and then she went into labor.” “Kendra had just had the baby, and they said, ‘Come in here,’” Tara said. “I was able to see their little baby right after he was born. That was right when I went into the hospital. It was so sweet.” The sisters were overjoyed to have rooms next to each other where their families could share in these precious moments together. Even with COVID-19 safety measures in place, nurses and staff helped make this incredible experience possible. “We allow our nurses to provide one-on-one care in labor and SISTERS MARRIED TO BROTHERS GIVE BIRTHWITHIN A DAY OF EACHOTHER AT THE FAMILY BIRTH CENTER FAMILY All in the Kendra and Michael Dorosh with baby Blake.
